Financial Aid Students,
Three different letters are being issued via email regarding financial aid. Please see clarification below regarding the three different letters.
1. "Award" letter: If you receive an award letter, this means that you have not been selected for verification by the federal government, and your financial aid has been packaged. This letter will allow for you to receive a tuition/fee deferment for your anticipated semester of enrollment. Please make sure to sign a copy and submit the signed copy to the Financial Aid Office. Click here for an explanation of the award letters.
2. "Missing Documents" letter: This letter is notifying you that you have been selected by the federal government for verification; therefore, you must submit the documents listed at the bottom of your letter in order for your financial aid file to be complete. Please click on the anticipated semester of enrollment below to access the list of the possible documents you may have to complete. Please only pay attention to those listed on your letter.
SUMMER 2011 DOCUMENTS (2010-2011 FAFSA)
FALL 2011, SPRING 2012, SUMMER 2012 DOCUMENTS (2011-2012 FAFSA)
Once you submit the appropriate documents to our Financial Aid Office, your file will be reviewed and eligibility for financial aid will be determined. If you are eligible and your file is complete, you will then receive an award letter.
3. "Issues" letter: This letter is notifying you that your FAFSA has been rejected. You must visit www.fafsa.ed.gov and make any necessary corrections to your FAFSA.
If you have not yet received a letter, please make sure that you have SUCCESSFULLY completed and submitted the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov).
If you have additional questions, please contact Student Affairs at dbeltran@ftcc.edu. Emails will be processed in the order in which they are received. We thank you in advance for your patience in this matter.
