Thanksgiving Food Drive

A friendly competition among three dozen drafting students at the L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College amassed more than 1,000 pounds of food for needy families across Terrebonne Parish during their 5th annual Thanksgiving food drive. The instructors decided to spice up the competition by dividing the students into four groups and weighing donations by pounds per student from each group. The winning group was taken out for pizza as a reward for their generosity. The non-perishable food was donated to the Terrebonne Churches United Food Bank.
