Machine Tool Technology

The purpose of this program is to provide specialized classroom instruction & practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in the field of Machine Tool Technology or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed the field of Machine Tool Technology. The program prepares individuals to shape metal parts on machines such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines. The program includes making computations for dimensions & cutting feeds & speeds, using precision measuring instruments, laying out parts, & heat treatment of metals.
